Health & Safety Administrator
Newcastle-under-Lyme
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm | Friday: 7:00am - 1:00pm
Salary: £26,500 - £28,000

Smart10 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Administrator on behalf of our client based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual to support the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) function and contribute to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.

The Role

The Health & Safety Administrator will provide essential day-to-day administrative support to the HSE Manager, ensuring that systems, processes, and documentation are accurately maintained. You will play a key role in supporting compliance, coordinating training and audits, tracking actions, and promoting a positive health and safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
·Provide administrative support to the HSE Manager and wider team.
·Maintain health & safety documentation, registers, and records in line with legal requirements.
·Assist with incident, accident, and near-miss reporting systems and track corrective actions.
·Coordinate training sessions, inductions, and refresher courses while monitoring expiry dates.
·Prepare reports, statistics, and dashboards to support compliance and decision-making.
·Support audits and inspections through document preparation and evidence collation.
·Act as a point of contact for HSE-related administrative queries and communications.

Skills & Experience Required
·Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
·Confident written and verbal communication skills.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
·Previous administrative experience, ideally within a health & safety or regulated environment (desirable).
·Basic understanding of health & safety principles is advantageous.

Qualifications (Desirable)
·NVQ / Diploma in Business Administration or similar.
·IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
