Pharmacist Manager - Independent Community Pharmacy
An established independent community pharmacy in a desirable market town in Hertfordshire is seeking a capable and dedicated Pharmacist Manager to lead its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacist to take ownership of a well-run pharmacy, delivering high-quality patient care while driving operational excellence.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with all regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role combining clinical expertise, team management, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with GPhC standards
2. Lead, supervise, and support a team including foundation trainees, technicians, and counter staff
3. Oversee ordering, stock control, and inventory management
4. Ensure safe and accurate dispensing using the Titan PMR system
5. Provide expert advice to patients on medications, side effects, and general health
6. Maintain accurate patient and prescription records
7. Work collaboratively with local healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes
8. Implement and improve pharmacy procedures to enhance service quality
9. Ensure compliance with health & safety and governance standards
About You
10. GPhC-registered Pharmacist
11. Previous experience in a management or leadership role within pharmacy (preferred)
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
13. Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering excellent patient care
14. Confident in leading a team and driving service improvements
