Salary: £48,162.29 + 10% company bonus + private medical insurance
Location: Darlington, with occasional travel to our Morley site

What you’ll be doing
As a Project Engineer, you’ll:
* Coordinate and deliver capital investment (CapEx) projects across UK manufacturing sites
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
* Work closely with engineering, production, and operational teams to understand site needs and develop practical solutions
* Support the development of project scopes, technical specifications, and supplier selection
* Engage and manage OEMs, contractors, and suppliers throughout project delivery
* Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and timelines, escalating issues where needed
* Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
* Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who combines engineering understanding with a strong project mindset. You’ll ideally have:
* Experience in an engineering or project-based role within a manufacturing environment
* Exposure to capital projects such as new equipment installation, modifications, or upgrades
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders
* A structured, organised approach to planning and problem-solvingGood awareness of health and safety requirements in an industrial setting
* A degree in Engineering (or a related discipline) is preferred but not essential
* Familiarity with tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
