As part of the wider group, Woods products are sold into multiple global applications through various routes to market including Group Companies, Agents & Distributors, Key Accounts as well as direct B2B.
The Colchester site is also the Centre of Excellence for the group for all Axial, Air Movement and Fire Safety products and serves to enable product & system sales in Building Services, Industrial, Original Equipment, and Tunnel & Metro applications globally. Our brand and product range is internationally recognised and flexible, from short-lead-time standard products through to technically complex design-to-order products. Manufacturing activities on site in Colchester include Assembly, Product Test, Stamping, Machining, Fabrication, and metal forming.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
* Supporting Group Finance with activities relating to the preparation of monthly and consolidated financial statements, as well as involvement in general ad-hoc enquiries from Group Finance
* Preparing budgets and forecasts, providing input on assumptions and identifying potential variances
* Monitor KPI's and identify the cause of unexpected variances
* Assist with financial accounting queries
* Provide data and analytical support for the wider Finance Team where required.
* Actively involved with the scope, design, build and delivery of Power BI Reports
* Managing large datasets to aid in business decisions.
* 2nd System Support for LucaNet

Person Specification/Profile:
Essential
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Part Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Good practical knowledge of the assessment of financial reporting process
* Preparation of monthly, annual and consolidated financial statements.
* Creation of PowerBI reports (Or equivalent software)
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Ability to work under pressure and to respond quickly to changing circumstances, incomplete information and to tight deadlines.
* Excellent analytical thinking and skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and high degree of conscientiousness.
* Able to use initiative as required whilst working in a structured way.
* Have experience of handling large datasets.
* Willing and able to travel both in UK and abroad.
