Behaviour Support Assistant – Secondary School (Gorton) Start Date: September | Daily Rate: £89 – £100 | Full-Time Are you calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning? A dedicated and inclusive secondary school in Gorton is seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team in September. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with young people who need extra guidance, structure, and encouragement to succeed. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties Support students in and out of lessons to help them engage positively with learning Work closely with pastoral, SEND, and teaching staff to implement behaviour plans and strategies Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, inclusion, and personal development Help manage challenging behaviour using a calm, consistent, and supportive approach Requirements: Experience working with young people in an educational, care, or support setting Strong communication and de-escalation skills A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature A commitment to helping students improve attendance, attitude, and academic outcomes Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply) This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of students who need consistent support and guidance.
