The children, staff and governors of Parkfield Primary School are looking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher (SENDCO) to join our forward-thinking and supportive leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring leader with a passion for SEND to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of SEND provision across the school
* Lead and develop our successful nurture provision
* Work closely with staff, families, external professionals and pupils to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive
* Support and develop the wider SEND team, promoting effective collaboration and consistency
* Be a visible and active member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole-school improvement
* Champion a culture of inclusion, equity and high expectations for all learners

* Has a deep understanding of SEND and experience supporting a wide range of needs
* Is an effective communicator and skilled leader, able to motivate and support colleagues
* Demonstrates compassion, high expectations and a strong commitment to every child’s well-being and progress
* Is reflective, proactive and committed to their own professional development
* Has a clear vision for inclusive practice and whole-school SEND strategy
