The Role
As Head of Residential Sales, you will:
8. Set the direction for the Residential Sales department and deliver a clear growth plan.
9. Act as the division’s figurehead, promoting and strengthening the brand.
10. Drive performance, increasing turnover, fees, and overall profitability.
11. Lead business development and identify opportunities to grow the department.
12. Oversee marketing activity to boost visibility and generate new instructions.
13. Increase market share by securing strong listings and improving conversion rates.
14. Recruit, train, and develop high-performing team members.
15. Build a positive, motivated team culture with high levels of engagement.
16. Manage branch and team performance, including reviews and day-to-day support.
17. Ensure consistent service standards and smooth operations across all branches.
18. Maintain full compliance with legislation and industry regulations.
19. Work closely with other departments to encourage collaboration and referrals.
20. Chair monthly Residential Sales Manager meetings and provide clear direction.
21. Produce accurate, high-quality written and verbal communication.
22. Set and track performance plans and targets for teams and branches.
23. Carry out market appraisals and help secure new instructions.
24. Support sales negotiations when required to help secure deals.
Head of Residential Sales requirements:
25. Experienced estate agency leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing residential sales teams.
26. Commercially driven, with demonstrable success in delivering revenue growth and meeting (or exceeding) performance targets.
27. Exceptional communicator, able to build trust, influence stakeholders, and motivate teams at all levels.
