Technical Product Manager – Roofing & Building Envelope Systems
Location: South West England / Bristol Area
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
A leading manufacturer of roofing and building envelope systems is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join its growing technical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically focused construction professional with experience in roofing, cladding, façade, waterproofing or building envelope products to play a key role in supporting customers, contractors, specifiers and internal sales teams across a specialist product range.
The Role
Working as part of the technical services team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on commercial construction projects, assisting with specification development, product compliance and customer engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support to customers, contractors, consultants and internal sales teams
- Producing and reviewing project specifications and technical documentation
- Supporting project delivery from design stage through to completion
- Conducting site visits to provide technical guidance and installation support
- Delivering product and installation training to customers and colleagues
- Producing technical drawings, details and supporting documentation
- Assisting with product development initiatives and technical product improvements
- Monitoring industry regulations, standards and best practice
- Liaising with third-party suppliers, testing bodies and certification organisations
- Supporting the development and maintenance of technical literature, BIM content and certification documentation
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Technical experience within roofing, cladding, façades, waterproofing, construction products or the wider building envelope sector
- Experience providing technical support to customers and contractors
- Knowledge of construction design, specifications and building regulations
- Experience delivering technical presentations and training
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical drawing software such as AutoCAD
- A construction-related qualification would be advantageous
