Job Description

The Project Manager will oversee and manage various projects for the company in accordance with company objectives and procedures. You will lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring all works are completed to specification, within budget, and on time. The role involves managing Deep Drainage, Civils & Water Infrastructure schemes across Yorkshire.


Requirements

It is essential that you hold the following professional qualifications as a minimum:

* SMSTS
* CSCS Black Card
* Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline (preferred)
* At least 2 years' experience as a Project Manager delivering civil engineering works on water treatment schemes
* Experience in Deep Drainage schemes


Skills & Experience

* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Excellent written & verbal reporting skills
* Technical knowledge of construction and best practices
* Project Management experience in the Construction industry
* Knowledge of SHEQ procedures in a construction & civil engineering environment
* Good understanding of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual costs, and value reporting

Location: Working on Water Treatment Projects across Yorkshire

Reporting to: Director


Duties

* Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators
* Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts
* Identifying tender and financial opportunities
* Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff
* Managing claims and variations
* Contract and subcontract management
* Preparing payment applications and final accounts
* Providing input to regional management and planning meetings
* Managing projects to meet financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
* Conducting monthly improvement plan reviews with specialists
* Monitoring and updating subcontract liabilities, applications, and payments
* Supporting supply chain assessments and performance reviews
* Engaging with clients, engineers, surveyors, and subcontractors
* Preparing contract plans, safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments
