Job Overview
Permanent role based in Salford, working for the Tameside and Salford Hospitals contract. Shifts alternate between 07:00 – 15:00 and 10:00 – 18:00 on a weekly basis.
Salary: £36,000 plus £2,083 on‑call allowance. Includes additional benefits package.
Responsibilities
 * Plan, prioritise and resource projects.
 * Ensure workload is delivered to specification and meets service requirements.
 * Maintain compliance with statutory and company procedures, keeping up to date with health & safety and environmental regulations.
 * Install, maintain and repair plant equipment.
 * Diagnose, fault‑find, commission systems and monitor facility performance through PPM programme; identify additional works.
 * Administer relevant paperwork promptly.
 * Develop effective working relationships with business partners and sub‑contractors, completing permits.
 * Attend training courses funded by Equans and become an Authorised Person/Responsible Person in relevant disciplines.
 * Report issues to Technical Services Supervisor/Manager as required.
 * Apply fair, consistent, courteous attitude in all dealings.
 * Maintain a smart appearance, professional manner and a clean workplace.
 * Work under pressure, take ownership of problems and resolve them.
 * Flexible working hours required; full driving licence.
Qualifications and Experience
 * Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
 * Experience working on lighting and small power circuits.
 * Sound awareness of risk assessment and safe working with equipment.
 * Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
 * Ability to read technical diagrams and create method statements.
 * Additional: experience with building management systems (BMS), PPM & reactive work, and authorisation as competent person.
 * PFI/Healthcare experience an advantage.

Location
Salford, England, United Kingdom (attached to Tameside & Salford Hospitals) – commuting to Salford Royal Hospital and occasional coverage at Tameside General Hospital.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week on a split pattern: Week 1 07:00–15:00, Week 2 10:00–18:00.
