Job Description:
Job Role: Data Engineer (RAG and Knowledge Backbone)
Experience required: 4-10 years.
Location:- London, UK
Role Purpose
Enable data grounding for agents, ensuring high-quality, secure, and context-rich retrieval.
Key Responsibilities
Data Ingestion
* Build pipelines for PDFs, SharePoint, databases, and other enterprise sources
* Extract structured and unstructured data
Chunking and Embeddings
* Implement semantic chunking and metadata tagging
* Optimize embedding strategies
Knowledge Systems
* Build vector database pipelines
* Support knowledge graph use cases where applicable
Access Control
* Implement RBAC at document level
* Ensure secure and compliant retrieval
Data Quality
* Monitor data drift and schema changes
Technical Stack
Must Have
* SQL and Python
* Experience with Airflow, AWS Glue, or Spark
* Experience handling structured and unstructured data
* AWS S3 and Athena (or equivalent data lake technologies)
Good to Have
* Vector databases
* Document parsing tools (Textract, Unstructured.io, or similar)
* Kafka
* Knowledge graphs (Neo4j or Neptune)
* GraphRAG exposure
