Our client, a welcoming and inclusive secondary academy based in Swindon, Wiltshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their student support team on a part-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people by supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide high-quality support to individuals and small groups, helping students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support to students, ensuring access to learning and progress
* Work with individuals and small groups under the direction of teaching staff
* Support students with a range of learning needs, including SEND
* Assist in the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
* Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting
* A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learners
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work as part of a collaborative team
* A commitment to safeguarding and the well-being of all students
