Manager/Senior Manager – Disputes, Investigations & Valuations
Background
The Disputes, Investigations and Valuations team at Quantuma has undergone significant growth over recent years. We have a national team acting in a wide range of commercial and personal disputes across all sectors, both in the UK and overseas. An opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate with a background in expert witness forensic accounting and valuations work to join our Southern team during this growth phase. Candidates at experienced manager or senior manager level are preferred, but more experienced candidates will also be considered.
Our team receives work from a wide range of law firms and has very few conflicts of interest. Our Managing Directors are instructed in some of the highest profile litigation, arbitration, matrimonial, and investigation matters in the UK and overseas, and they have significant witness box experience. We also undertake smaller assignments, allowing team members exposure to a wide range of work and providing opportunities to step up and take responsibility early.
Details of role and candidate required
Areas of Responsibility:
* Preparing valuation calculations using cost, market, and income approaches
* Drafting well-written expert witness and advisory reports in disputes involving valuation (primarily), loss of profits, etc.
* Developing and training less experienced team members
* Monitoring budgets and ensuring work is done efficiently and within client deadlines
* Creating and enhancing relationships with referrers and clients through providing outstanding client service and attending events.
Location
Ideally, the role will be located in our Guildford office, working primarily with our Guildford team (2-3 days office-based per week preferred), but flexible on location. The successful candidate can expect to undertake some work with Managing Directors and team members across the country as required, with travel not expected in these instances.
Required Skills & Experience
* Several years' relevant forensic accounting experience within disputes and/or valuations
* Knowledge of business valuations and loss of profit claims
* Case management including client correspondence, monitoring budgets, and recoveries
* Good relationships across legal, accountancy, and advisory communities beneficial for more experienced candidates
