GSL Education is currently seeking to appoint a Math Teacher to undertake a position at one of our client schools in Lincoln. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Math Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Lincoln.
Job Summary:
1. Clearly explain mathematical theories, principles, and applications to students at various levels.
2. Develop lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
3. Create, administer, and grade tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
Role of a Math Teacher:
1. Deliver the national curriculum for mathematics, ensuring students are exposed to a wide range of mathematical concepts appropriate for their age and ability level.
2. Plan engaging and effective lessons tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities, selecting appropriate methods, resources, and activities.
3. Maintain discipline and foster a positive learning environment conducive to mathematical exploration and inquiry, managing classroom behavior and promoting mutual respect.
4. Provide additional support to students struggling with mathematical concepts, including extra help, after-school tutoring, or recommending resources for independent study.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have previous experience working as a teacher within an educational setting.
2. Possess original or certified copies of relevant degree certificates (e.g., Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education, PGCE).
3. Hold a Qualified Teacher Status certificate or evidence of completion of a recognized teacher training program.
4. Have relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or a related field.
5. Be passionate about supporting student learning and development and making a positive impact on their lives.
