Want to develop a career working in substance use treatment? The Derbyshire Recovery Partnership Drug and Alcohol service is recruiting a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner to be based primarily at our Ripley site. The role runs 37.5 hours per week on a permanent contract.
Role
As a Drug and Alcohol Practitioner you will manage a caseload of service users presenting with drug and alcohol issues. You will deliver individualized 1-2-1 care‑planned support, facilitate group work sessions, and use tailored harm‑reduction interventions to help service users build recovery capital.
Responsibilities
* Organise and deliver one‑to‑one and group sessions with service users.
* Develop and implement harm reduction strategies and care plans.
* Collaborate with specialist teams, including recovery connectors, employment workers, rehab workers, counsellors and clinical colleagues.
* Maintain accurate record‑keeping and diary management.
* Partner with other support agencies and local projects to support individual recovery journeys.
* Participate in full role training, shadowing and ongoing professional development.
About You
* Experience in the field of drug and alcohol treatment, or lived experience with a passion for recovery.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Highly motivated, independent, and able to use own initiative.
* Organisational and diary management skills with attention to detail.
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for outreach work.

* Starting salary £26,298 per annum (potential to increase to £28,000 per annum, pro‑rata).
