Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy as needed.
* Engage in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination for patients transitioning from acute settings.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Skills
* Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.
* Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or trauma medicine preferred.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
* Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
* Strong skills in patient assessment, triage, and acute pain management.
* Ability to work with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
* Experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous.
* Competence in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
