We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who can assess and engage with service users, ensuring they access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs. This role is for the East Birmingham Team based at 111 Church Lane, Stechford, Birmingham, B33 9EJ, and involves working across the East Locality area.

Hours 37.5 hours per week (full-time hours; part-time arrangements pro rata).
Salary £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (depending on experience, pro rata for part-time hours).
Responsibilities
* Support service users from point of entry into the service and throughout their treatment/recovery journey
* Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral
* Facilitate group sessions
* Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
* Promote carer, service user and community involvement
* Advocate for access to partnership services
* Work with service users to support social reintegration, enabling meaningful and purposeful lives that promote recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
About you
* Strong understanding of substance misuse issues with experience in a similar field
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good IT skills
* Proactive, able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising
* Knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
* Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies and stakeholders
* Ability to manage change with a service-user-centered approach
* Understanding of information governance and safeguarding requirements
* Willingness to learn and contribute to others’ development
