Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus (based on new business)
Hybrid working: 2 days WFH, 3 days in office

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Account Handler to join a busy insurance brokerage in Manchester. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, handling premiums from £100 to £1m+, and delivering exceptional service in a sector that is constantly evolving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management: Act as the first point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships.
2. Policy Administration: Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business quotations with accuracy and efficiency.
3. Claims Support: Assist clients with claims, liaising with insurers to ensure smooth resolution.
4. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all client records, policy documents, and communications meet regulatory standards.
5. Cross-Selling & Upselling: Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services to existing clients.
6. Market Liaison: Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms and cover for clients.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge and support overall business growth.
About You
8. Insurance Broking Experience: You have at least 2 years' experience in insurance account handling or broking.
9. Adaptable & Versatile: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can pivot quickly to meet client needs.
10. Client-Focused: You are passionate about delivering excellent service and building trust with clients.
11. Detail-Oriented: Accuracy and compliance are second nature to you.
12. Commercial Awareness: You understand the insurance market and can spot opportunities to add value.
13. Strong Communicator: Confident on the phone and in writing, with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
