Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer (Part Time or Full Time)
Location: Isle of Wight – Cowes, Chelmsford – Great Baddow, or Portsmouth – Broad Oak
Salary: Up to £70,600, commensurate with skills and experience. Part-time & accruing hours available.

Your new day-to-day will be exciting and diverse, applying the principles of Systems Engineering across the entire development lifecycle as you join in developing radar systems used by those who serve and protect us. What you’ll be doing:
1. Develop novel solutions to evolving technical challenges for complex Multi-Function Radar Systems.
2. Apply Systems Engineering principles, techniques, and governance to develop solutions and resolve issues.
3. Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs and specify robust product designs.
4. Lead the decomposition of requirements to system and sub-system levels using tools like IBM DOORS Next.
5. Serve as a technical focus point, guiding analysis activities and system design decisions.
6. Collaborate with specialists across disciplines including electronics, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
7. Lead system integration, testing, and planning.
8. Define system acceptance strategies and demonstrate system performance across operational scenarios.
Your skills and experiences:
* Understanding of signal processing, target tracking, object classification algorithms, and system/resource optimization.
* Knowledge of factors affecting sensing system performance and measurement accuracy.
* Experience with Systems Engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288).
* Ability to present technical and non-technical information effectively.
