The closing date is 09 June 2026

An opportunity has arisen for a Study Finance and Commercial Performance Officer to be part of the NIHR Cambridge Clinical Research Facility on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and support clinical research undertaken in the Cambridge Clinical Research Centre (CCRC), which houses six CRFs located in two buildings aligned to Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH).

CCRC provides state‑of‑the‑art Inpatient, Day Case, Outpatient and specialist research facilities to support patients and healthy volunteers of all ages across a range of medical specialties participating in translational and early‑phase experimental medicine clinical research trials / studies 24/7.

You will play a key role in supporting the study set‑up and financial management of commercial research studies delivered across CCRC, ensuring studies are costed appropriately across the lifetime of individual studies and set up within the national 150‑day commercial trial set‑up timelines.

Main duties of the job

The role will focus on supporting study costing, financial monitoring, and finance study set‑up coordination across the CCRC.

You will maintain accurate financial data using NCVR Interactive Costing Tools (iCT) and EDGE Finance, contribute to performance reporting and assist in optimising processes that enable timely and effective study activation.

You will provide oversight of study costing and financial governance, contribute to process improvement and support the delivery of an accelerated Commercial Clinical Trial Pathway particularly for early‑phase, rare disease and ATIMP studies, ensuring CCRC remains commercially competitive, operationally responsive and financially sustainable.
