Trainee Project Planner
Locations: Bristol and Glasgow
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.
The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained as highly skilled Project Planners in the clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning sectors. Join our growing Academy division, where you will be trained and developed while representing Experis on leading engineering accounts. We seek ambitious candidates with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you are looking to reskill or develop your project planning skills, this role offers a challenging yet rewarding experience requiring excellent customer-facing and teamwork skills.
You will support Project Planning activities within a delivery environment, collaborating with others to solve complex problems in the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.
As part of the programme, you will receive training and experience in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M), including courses in project management, planning, controls, Primavera, Excel, and soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. Training involves scenario-based workshops for practical application.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:
* Implementing and maintaining project structures
* Developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule
* Aligning scheduling tools with financial and material demand systems
* Providing regular status updates and schedule analysis
* Creating resource/cost loaded schedules to inform business planning and monitor financial status
