We have funding for 2 Social Workers to join our busy Mental Health and Reablement team in Blaby, Oadby, Wigston and Market Harborough. These are permanent full-time positions and would particularly suit experienced Social Workers with a background working with this service user group and with those who use substances, though applications from other suitable candidates are also welcome.
About the Role
The team is knowledgeable, friendly and supportive, with a wealth of contacts and experience amongst the extensive Mental Health community and provider network within Blaby, Oadby, Wigston and Harborough. They have weekly Group Supervision Meetings to promote the best possible outcomes for the people we work with. All staff benefit from regular manager supervision, manageable workloads and support from specialist teams within the department (such as finance or legal services).

This includes tailored continuous professional development sessions; opportunities for supported further qualifications and access to academic research and practice expertise to develop skills, experience and inform our employee’s practice.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must:
* Be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England.
* Have knowledge of social work methodologies, social care policies such as person-centred approaches and asset based social work, and relevant legislation including The Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act.
* Have experience of effective assessment and risk management delivery, complex safeguarding, court of protection and multi-agency/multidisciplinary working and/or hospital discharge processes.
* Have experience of partnership working with adults to identify and meet need with creative and pragmatic solutions.
* Be a confident communicator who is skilled in diplomacy, persuasion, assertive and conflict management and able to build effective working relationships.
* Be able to work proactively individually but also as a team member.
* Have good prioritisation and time management skills and have a valid UK driving licence or access to a vehicle.
