Review Community Support Officer - Disabilities

About the role:
The Review Community Support Officer (RCSO) works within the Adult Services team to ensure that the assessed needs of adults with disabilities are met through regular reviews and reassessments. The role involves holistic care planning, risk assessment, safeguarding, and promoting independence, inclusion, and equality. RCSOs collaborate with social workers, carers, and other professionals to develop and monitor care packages, maintain accurate records, and advocate for service users. They also contribute to shaping services, manage caseloads, and ensure compliance with statutory guidance and departmental procedures.
About you:
Communication & Advocacy: Ability to communicate effectively with adults with disabilities, carers, and families, promoting their views and advocating for their needs in a respectful and holistic manner.
Organisational Skills: Strong ability to organise, prioritise, and manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate and timely records in line with departmental procedures.
Knowledge & Commitment: Solid understanding of community care legislation, safeguarding, and the principles of social care, with a commitment to equal opportunities, confidentiality, and non-discriminatory practice.
Professional Requirements: Must hold a QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent), possess a good standard of education, and be able to travel extensively across the county (driving licence required).
