We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented E-Commerce Copywriter to write and manage the creation of copy content for the EMEA E-commerce sites that drives conversions and enhances the online shopping experience. You’ll collaborate with marketing, legal, and design teams to ensure brand consistency and SEO best practices across all digital touchpoints. Salary: between £37,931 and £44,625 dependent on experience plus 10% bonus. Ensure all copy produced is search engine optimised. Write clear, concise and accurate product copy that not only reflects a strong awareness of what the customer needs to know, but demonstrates credible brand and product knowledge whilst maintaining the Canon tone of voice. Proofread copy content produced across the department (including freelance writers’ work), to ensure consistency and adherence to brand voice guidelines. Liaise with multiple stakeholders- consulting Product Marketing, Legal, IP and Environmental teams as appropriate Upload all approved copy on to the e-commerce and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems. Edit copy content directly on the e-commerce platform, as needed. Demonstrate a proactive approach to work, showing initiative, suggesting ideas to continuously improve the quality of product copy and increase efficiencies within the team and department. Generate ideas for and produce engaging editorial content. Work with freelance copywriters- briefing and reviewing their work. Work with in-house designers to write engaging copy within defined character length limits. You will need A keen writer with qualifications in media, journalism, or equivalent relevant experience. Extensive experience in copywriting for B2C products and e-Commerce. Experience writing for technical products and B2B audiences is a plus. Strong SEO expertise, including the use of tools such as Google Keyword Planner, Google Search Console, and SEMrush. Ability to analyse performance using tools like Google Analytics and report on the ROI of content improvements. Excellent creative and technical writing skills, with the ability to adapt to brand tone of voice and editorial guidelines. Experience in developing best practice guidelines for e-Commerce content creation and use of AI in content creation Proven ability to collaborate with UX/UI designers to produce English-language content within defined character limits for websites across EMEA. Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including Product, Legal, and Environmental teams. Demonstrated ability to generate content ideas using SEO insights and other data sources to build and maintain an editorial calendar. Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Strong attention to detail. An interest in photography is desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Some experience with content management systems (CMS) or e-Commerce platforms. Training will be provided.
