Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading social housing team in Ealing on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support senior surveyors and commercial managers in delivering accurate cost management, valuations, and financial reporting across repairs, planned works and housing projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the commercial management of contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and to financial targets
* Support with the preparation of cost forecasts, valuations, and variations
* Work on subcontractor accounts including approvals and payment processes
* Help to prepare and review tenders, pricing, and cost estimates
* Provide commercial support to operational teams across responsive repairs, voids and planned works
* Assist in preparing monthly reports, financial statements and cash flow forecasts
* Work closely with senior surveyors and managers to ensure compliance with company policies and client requirements
* Gain valuable experience in delivering high-profile social housing projects
Requirements
* Experience working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (or similar role)
* Knowledge of social housing, repairs or planned works contracts (advantageous)
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other commercial software
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field (preferred)
* Eager to learn and develop within a commercial team
