Monday to Friday with Saturday’s on a rota
Salary: £6,178 per annum + pension and company benefits
Location: Brewers Decorator Centre – Croydon (Purley Way, Croydon Airport Industrial Estate)
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 7am‑5pm, Saturday 8am‑5pm
Candidate criteria: Must be 18+ (some lone working)
Qualifications & Experience: No prior retail experience essential – full training provided. Previous experience or product knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities
* Provide excellent service to customers, assisting with enquiries and design ideas.
* Use product knowledge to recommend and help customers find the best product for their needs.
* Develop sales of the company product range (wallpaper, paint, fabric, furnishings).
* Assist in display and merchandising of products, capitalising on trends and ensuring in‑demand stock is accessible.
* Provide quotations for bespoke items.
* Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, request special stock and monitor demand to keep the full range available.
* Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
* Unload deliveries and distribute stock throughout the store.
Qualifications
* Exceptional customer‑service and communication skills.
* Passion and flair for interior design, decorating, trends and home fashion.
* Approachable, open and friendly personality – happy to help customers and colleagues.
* Experience with made‑to‑measure or bespoke services is an advantage but not essential.
* Team‑focused and committed to delivering product sales.
* Enjoys teamwork yet reliable as an independent worker.
* Keen to learn, develop skills and progress within the industry.
* Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshal and/or First Aider if required.
* Previous retail experience or product knowledge is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided.
