We are seeking an experienced and qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a weing and inclusive primary school in Newton Le Willows starting in January.
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of all children.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
2. Supporting children’s learning through play-based and structured activities.
3. Observing and recording children’s progress, contributing to assessments and reports.
4. Providing one-to-one and small group interventions for children who need additional support.
5. Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting social and emotional development.
6. Preparing and maintaining learning resources and displays.
7. Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times.
8. Supporting children with personal care needs, including toileting, changing, and hygiene routines.
9. Assisting with snack and meal times, promoting healthy eating habits.
10. Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a nurturing environment.
11. Ensuringpliance with safeguarding and health & safety policies.
12. Helping with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities.
13. Supporting children with additional needs, including those with SEN.
14. Contributing to creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
What you'll need to succeed
15. EYFS qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education or equivalent).
16. Previous experience working in an EYFS setting within a school or nursery.
17. Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding practices.
18. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
19. Excellentmunication and teamwork skills.
20. Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early years education.
21. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
22. Full right to work in the UK
