We are currently partnering with a fast-growing, international logistics specialist to recruit aFreight & Customs Coordinatorbased in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team operating in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment with a strong focus on international shipping and customs compliance.
Duties Include
Coordinate export shipments (approximately 90%) and import shipments (10%) from the UK, ensuring timely delivery within budget across airfreight, roadfreight, and courier methods
Prepare all required documentation to ensure smooth customs clearance, including AWBs, T1s, POAs, CBP documentation, Security Declarations, Art Declarations, and Lacey Act documentation
Manage export customs declarations (free circulation, bond, and temporary admission) via eCustoms using CDS, ensuring correct tariff codes and CPCs are applied
Provide proactive customer support to overseas importers, advising them on how to complete required customs documentation
Coordinate and manage overseas agents and specialist partners (including white glove providers) to ensure seamless shipment completion
Monitor and update internal systems with shipment progress and reporting
Troubleshoot complex freight scenarios and proactively resolve operational challenges
Identify and implement process improvements within the Freight & Customs function
Collaborate closely with Customer Care and Warehouse teams to ensure operational We are keen to speak with candidates who bring:
A minimum of 3 years experience managing courier shipments (e.g., DHL, FedEx or similar) and air cargo bookings directly with airlines
Strong working knowledge of export customs processes and documentation
Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment and effectively prioritise tasks
High attention to detail with a proven track record of accurate documentation handling
Experience in art shipping and/or within a startup environment (desirable but not essential)
A proactive mindset with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
