Our client, a well-established and growing contractor within the fire industry is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

With over two decades of experience in life safety systems, our client has built a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and reliability. They're now looking for a commercially astute professional who can support project delivery from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
* As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the effective commercial management of multiple projects, including:
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and detailed valuations
* Managing the procurement process, including subcontractor packages and supplier contracts
* Administering interim applications, variations, and final accounts
* Working closely with project teams to monitor budgets, progress, and costs
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
* Supporting with tender submissions and contract negotiations
* Ensuring projects remain commercially viable and profitable
* Providing cost advice and reports to internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For
* We're looking for a proactive, driven individual with strong technical knowledge and commercial experience. Ideally, you'll have:
* 5+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
* Experience within Fire Protection, M&E, Drylining, or a related specialist trade preferred
* Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
* Excellent cost control, reporting, and negotiation skills
* A solid understanding of subcontractor management and procurement processes
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
* Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
