Role Overview
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for assessing, servicing, and repairing fitness equipment, including full breakdowns and rebuilds. You will also carry out quality control checks as per the daily manifest. A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, providing an excellent first-time service.
Requirements
* Evaluate, diagnose, service, and repair equipment
* Conduct QC checks before dispatch
* Communicate effectively with the wider operations team via email and instant messenger
* Maintain general Service Centre duties, including cleaning, dispatch, quality control, and goods inwards (tools, workstations, and working areas)
* Support the quality control unit to meet business needs and requirements
* Ensure all products are correctly labelled and prepared for shipping
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar mechanical or technical role
* Experience working in a KPI-driven environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
* Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
* Hardworking and proactive team player
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office Suite
Measure of Success
* High percentage of successful first-time fixes without rework
* Efficient completion of servicing and repairs within set timeframes
* Consistently meeting or exceeding QC standards
* Positive feedback from internal teams and customers
* Adherence to health & safety protocols and service procedures
* Effective management of tools, equipment, and spare parts to minimise waste and downtime
* Contribution to identifying and implementing process improvements
