An exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse (NMC) with community experience for a supporting Clinical Lead Role in Waverley CMHRS. Please note this is a fixed-term cover for 9 months.
This role involves being part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical leadership and supervision within the Community Mental Health Recovery Services (CMHRS) Team. The aim is to ensure the service operates safely, effectively, and efficiently as part of the wider mental health services system. Additionally, the role involves fostering a culture that encourages individuals to actively participate in identifying, planning, and meeting their needs. The post also includes deputising for the Service Manager in their absence and undertaking management responsibilities as required.
Suitable candidates are nurses with expertise in managing complex mental health issues in the community and experience supervising junior staff, who are looking to advance their careers and gain further experience.
The candidate must hold a full, valid driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes due to the community-based nature of the role.
Key responsibilities include ensuring clinicians maintain manageable workloads, leading meetings, reporting incidents, maintaining statistical data, deputising for the Service Manager, contributing to policy development, participating in recruitment and staff appraisal, promoting fair working principles, and undertaking additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager to support service development. The role requires adherence to the Nursing & Midwifery Council's Professional Code of Conduct and other relevant guidelines.
