Hudl Greater London, England, United Kingdom
Our Global Football Metrics product team—responsible for developing the most insightful and actionable metrics in the worldwide football market—is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer. Here, you’ll develop products serving recruitment and performance analysts at the highest levels of football, giving them the tools to make faster, clearer decisions on player performance and talent acquisition.
As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll:
* Collaborate. You’ll be an integral part of a cross‑functional team, collaborating closely with coworkers across Engineering, Product, Design and Scrum to ensure the delivery of high‑quality products.
* Strategise. You’ll use your customer and system understanding to create risk‑based testing approaches and plans that focus on user experiences. Overall, you’ll ensure our products meet and exceed user expectations.
* Automate. By aligning our processes with development speed, you’ll make informed decisions on what, how and when to automate.
* Mentor. You’ll use your technical and quality understanding to guide others on the team to level up their skills. As the go‑to person for product quality, you’ll influence and motivate teams to incorporate quality best practices in everything they do.
For this role, we’re currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our office in London. But with our flexible work policy, there are no current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.
Must‑Haves
* A focus on quality. You understand the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity.
* Technical know‑how. You have solid experience testing backend and data‑heavy systems, validating pipelines, transformations, and service outputs. You’re also able to design tests for complex logic, testing APIs, large datasets, and create automated checks to maintain accuracy and consistency.
* A coach. You have a track record of mentoring, connecting with, and improving those around you.
* Customer‑driven. You think critically about the user experience and ensure our testing approach adapts to their workflows.
Nice‑to‑Haves
* Front‑end automation experience. Knowledge of frameworks such as Playwright and Selenium is a plus.
* Exposure to sports. Whether through direct involvement or through an athlete or coach close to you, and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the sports technology industry would be helpful.
* Knowledge of Football Event data or analytics.
