Associate Town Planner - York
We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded independent planning consultancy who are seeking an Associate Town Planner to join their growing team in York. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in shaping a diverse range of projects.
The Role
As an Associate Town Planner, you will:
Lead and manage a range of planning projects across residential, commercial, and rural sectors.
Provide expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
Oversee and prepare planning applications, appraisals, appeals, and policy representations.
Mentor and support junior planners within the team.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development and growth.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
An RTPI-accredited degree and full chartered RTPI membership.
5+ years of relevant planning experience, ideally within consultancy.
A strong understanding of the UK planning system and development process.
Excellent written, analytical, and communication skills.
The ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines.
