Digital Learning Specialist

Working hours: 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part-time will be considered)

Type: Permanent

Salary: from £33,069

Location: Pity Me, Durham / Hybrid working

For advertising purposes, this role has been posted across multiple locations; however, there is only one position available.


About the role

Are you experienced in developing digital learning solutions to support training? We have an opportunity to join the Academy team to maintain online and blended learning as part of the Academy Delivery Plan.

You will manage training projects, collaborate with stakeholders to design effective digital and blended learning experiences, including utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot to enhance content creation.

As a trusted partner, you will provide well-researched advice on effective learning methods tailored to meet specific outcomes, ensuring colleagues are competent in their roles and challenging ideas to optimize learning solutions.

Building confidence and ease in using learning technologies is essential. You will support teams in integrating these tools naturally into their work, emphasizing clear communication to foster trust.


About you

If you have experience creating impactful learning content in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in instructional design, including stakeholder collaboration to develop engaging storyboards for digital learning.

You should be skilled in partnering with business managers to design online training using platforms such as Articulate, Captivate, or Gomo, with the ability to create mobile-ready, bite-sized learning modules. Implementing effective evaluation methods to measure learning outcomes and competence is also necessary.

Experience creating immersive experiences using Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies is highly desirable. You should be familiar with working in technical environments, managing projects from concept to completion.

Experience in an L&D role within the Utilities or Engineering sectors would be advantageous, providing insight into sector-specific learning needs.

Interviews will be conducted online or in person on 5th June.
