What you’ll be doing
as a Licence Management Lead:
Licence Management Reporting – support the provision of regular, transparent and accurate reporting on all Licence activities. Work in collaboration with the software asset manager, operational risk and compliance manager to identify risks and issues that arise from software licence management.
Continuous Service Improvement – make recommendations and highlight service continuity management CSI activities to improve overall licence management.
Stakeholder Management – develop key relationships within the business areas and in the Thames Digital department to support the delivery of software licence management activities to ensure that stakeholders are fully engaged.
1. You will ensure all inventory data is collected and correct.
2. You will take ownership and action of importing data, normalising, and analysis of data.
3. You will assist and recommend Continuous Service improvements to improve the service.
4. You will capture, validate, prepare and enter Entitlement data.
5. You will highlight opportunities for re-harvesting of software licences and rationalisation of software.
6. You will provide accurate ELP reports highlighting breaches in compliance and making recommendations for mitigation of risk and optimisation.
7. You will develop key relationships within the business areas and in the IT department to support the delivery of software licence management activities to ensure that stakeholders are fully engaged in maintaining license optimisation, data integrity and license compliance.
Base Location: Clearwater Court, Reading – Hybrid 2 days a week onsite
Working Pattern or hours – Full Time (36 hours per week)

We are looking for someone educated to degree level or with equivalent experience and you must have experience in software license procurement and management with IT management experience within a large IS department. The right applicant will have excellent presentation/interpersonal and data analysis skills and be fully experienced in dealing with stakeholders, risk management, software audit and reporting and operational support.
Essential Experience
11. You will have specialist experience in producing ELPs for primarily SAP, including understanding the license terms and conditions. SAP licencing experience is essential for this role.
12. You will have ITIL qualifications and CSAM or an equivalent.
13. You will have experience with industry-standard discovery/SAM tools, Flexera would be an advantage.
Desirable Experience
14. You will keep track of Data Trends.
15. Any software or Application Knowledge and any SAP licence accreditations would be an advantage.
