Principal Bridge Engineer
I'm working with a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy who are seeking a Principal Bridge Engineer to join their established Liverpool office. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior role within a business known for delivering innovative and high-quality engineering solutions across highways, rail, and major infrastructure projects.
The Role
Based in a modern city-centre office, this role offers the chance to lead on a diverse portfolio of bridge and structural projects. As Principal Bridge Engineer, you'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of schemes from concept through to completion, while also supporting the development of the wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead and manage projects across all stages.
·Review, sign off, and approve designs, technical reports, and specifications in line with DMRB and industry standards.
·Prepare and contribute to fee proposals.
·Undertake bridge inspections and assessments.
·Act as a key liaison point with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
·Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers within the team.
Ideal Candidate
·Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
·Chartered Engineer status.
·Strong background in bridge design, assessment, and rehabilitation.
·Excellent knowledge of relevant standards and codes including DMRB.
·Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.
·Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
