Job Description
The Independent Living Coordinator, reporting to the Independent Living Manager, will support a team providing housing management and support to customers in Independent Living. The role focuses on promoting independence for older people within a user-led environment, aligned with the Great Places Service Commitment framework.
Responsibilities
1. Support customers to maintain independence and thrive in their tenancy and community, involving relevant parties as appropriate.
2. Manage tenancy aspects including voids, allocations, tenancy end, new tenancies, inductions, rents, anti-social behaviour, breaches of occupancy agreements, and repairs monitoring.
3. Oversee building management, health and safety, security, and compliance.
4. Assist with customer welfare, respond to alarms and emergencies, and collaborate with families and support agencies.
5. Develop Personal Safety Plans with customers, adopting a Person-Centred Approach to ensure safety and manage risks.
6. Maintain accurate records in line with Data Protection regulations.
7. Promote partnership working, signposting services, and facilitate access to social activities and community engagement.
8. Address safeguarding concerns promptly and adhere to relevant guidelines and workflows.
Requirements
* Experience with safeguarding vulnerable adults.
