Overview
We are looking for a skilled Tandoori Chef with expertise in preparing authentic Indian tandoor dishes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tandoor ovens, marination techniques, and delivering consistent, high-quality flavors in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes including breads (naan, roti, kulcha), kebabs, and tandoori vegetables.
* Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation according to the restaurant standards.
* Master marination techniques using authentic Indian spices and ingredients.
* Manage tandoor oven operations while ensuring safety and efficiency.
* Work closely with the Head Chef on menu development and seasonal specials.
* Monitor stock levels, handle ingredients responsibly, and reduce wastage.
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with food safety regulations.
* Train and mentor junior staff as required.
Requirements
* Minimum 1–2 years' proven experience as a Tandoori Chef in a professional restaurant or catering setting.
* Expertise in tandoori breads, kebabs etc.
* Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
* Team player with good communication skills.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
