Job Description
* Carry out category and project-related procurement activities through strategic contract negotiations, implementation, and ongoing relationship management
* Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on end-to-end procurement processes, enabling best practice procurement across all
* Identify opportunities for improvements and value-add in processes, procedures, and during procurement activities, including managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial terms.
* Identify and mitigate procurement, supplier, and supply chain risks to the organisation.
* Maintain the Contract Register, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate, with timely notifications to the business to enable necessary procurement activities to be carried out.
* Ensure contracts have appropriate supplier performance controls enabled through effective category strategies and sourcing exercises
The Successful Applicant
A successful Procurement Manager should have:
* MCIPS or Working towards MCIPS or demonstrable procurement expertise
* Strong written communication skills, able to write complex reports
* Experience of supplier negotiations and relationship management
* Strong ability to influence using multiple styles as appropriate
* Strong commercial acumen demonstrated in previous roles
* Experience in negotiating contracts
