We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as our Commercial Finance Manager.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Commercial Finance Manager will play a key role in shaping our financial landscape. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for reporting on the commercial performance of the care homes within your remit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Preparing full management accounts for the care homes across the Group, including P&L statements and balance sheet reconciliations, and investigating variances to budget.
* Presenting management accounts to the CFO for review.
* Producing weekly reports for the Group, distributed to Directors and Senior Managers.
* Completing VAT and CIS returns across the Avery Group as required.
* Preparing annual budgets for the care homes, including participating in budget-setting meetings with Regional Managers and the Operations Director.
* Leading ad hoc projects, such as implementing new processes or conducting performance deep dives.
* Participating in projects like integrating new homes and financial modeling, as the business grows.
ABOUT YOU

* Experience leading a team through a budget forecast process.
* Experience in a similar role within a large, complex, multi-site business with a turnover over £100 million.
* A proactive approach, willing to challenge operations and take ownership of financial performance improvements.
* Experience improving systems and processes, considering operational impacts.
* Accuracy, diligence, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.
* Drive to continuously improve processes and procedures.
* Excellent IT and systems skills.
