The opportunity We have an opportunity for a Level 6 Apprentice Civil Engineer to start in Summer/Autumn 2024 to be based in our Cardiff office. In this role you will be working within our Water division. You will work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of Water Engineers and Modellers. You will learn how to use relevant software and programs such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) to produce drawings for infrastructure projects that develop a better way of how we obtain, clean, and distribute water for our communities. Water is one of our most precious natural assets, our work is key to help provide innovative sustainable solutions that balances our environmental impact. Your role will support undertaking a variety of civil engineering tasks for projects including treatment works, pumping stations and pipelines. You will assist Senior Engineers on activities throughout the project lifecycle that reduce our environmental impact, help solve problems and provide innovative solutions to support our client's needs. You will also work closely with other disciplines within the project team such as; mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure that the right solution is always being delivered as projects continue to progress. Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification. You'll get the chance to expand your knowledge by attending university on day release. You will gain a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree at the University of South Wales About you For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you. Qualifications: For our Level 6 apprenticeship you will need either: 3 A Levels totalling 120 UCAS points. This must include Mathematics and one other Science subject. A BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering - DDM to include Further Engineering Mathematics.
