Production Manager
Location: Ballymena
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - Day Shift
Are you an experienced people leader from a food production background ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a highly respected food manufacturer, is seeking a Production Manager to join their Ballymena team on a 4 on / 4 off day shift rota. In this key leadership role, you will oversee all production activity on site, driving performance, efficiency, and quality while ensuring a culture of safety and continuous improvement across your team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all aspects of production activity, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency targets are achieved.
* Manage and motivate your team, promoting a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Optimize plant performance by ensuring all equipment is operated, maintained, and cleaned effectively to minimise downtime.
* Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards.
* Oversee production scheduling, ensuring adherence to targets and smooth shift handovers.
* Identify process improvements using Lean or CI methodologies to enhance yield and reduce waste.
* Manage team performance, including training, development, and performance reviews.
* Collaborate with other departments and senior management to deliver site performance goals.
About You
* Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within food manufacturing (essential).
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
* Excellent understanding of quality, food safety, and health & safety standards.
* Experience implementing Lean or continuous improvement initiatives.
* Confident decision-maker with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
