About the Opportunity
Jacobs are recruiting for a Cost Engineer of Practitioner level to Join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our Project Management Resource team which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be part of a large client lead team at EDF’s Gloucester Business Park location and this role will support multiple projects within their UK wide project portfolio with a focus on nuclear defueling and nuclear decommissioning.
* Cost Engineers are accountable to the client Project Controls Group Head, PPM and/or Operations Manager and are responsible for providing cost management support to the EDF Nuclear Generation work portfolio and will monitor, control and forecast the costs during the Project lifecycle. This role has no direct reports.
* The role will be based at the Gloucester office complex and will require from time to time, business travel to UK sites/stations. Flexible working arrangements between office and home are possible. In this role you will report to the Jacobs Operations Manager, but be accountable for project delivery directly to the client.
* Good communication and organisational skills are a must with the ability to develop relationships and maintain effective networks and be results-focused tempered with a team-centred approach.
* Ideally, have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.
