An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 staff nurse to join the Team in General outpatients Stobhill ACH North Glasgow, working within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to this patient group. You will be required to assess patient needs, plan/implement and evaluate a programme of care which is evidence based. Utilising all available resources taking into consideration lifestyle, gender and cultural back ground and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others. You will be required to participate in nurse led clinics within different specialties use initiative and act independently within the bounds of existing knowledge and skills. The post will involve rotating through multiple specialties as well as undertaking Nurse led clinics.
You will be expected to contribute to the provision of an appropriate learning environment in line with NES quality placement standards, complete appraisals of preregistration nurses and support the implementation of research and clinical audit. Essential skills include effective communication with patients, their relatives and the multidisciplinary team. Ability to be able to demonstrate sound judgement in assessment of patient care in order to establish any change in the patents condition, and contribute to the subsequent planning of care.
