Overview
New Close Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team of staff, with effect from November 2025. Working Hours: Part time (20 hours, Monday – Friday, 38 weeks per year, term-time only, no Teacher Training days). Contract: Fixed term (until 31st August 2026).

As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEND support, liaising with teachers and SENDCO.
Responsibilities
* Support learning across all age ranges and abilities, including pupils requiring SEND support.
* Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCO to support individual and group learning.
* Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment and maintain high standards of pupil care and safety.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for young people.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, staff and parents.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
