About the Role
We're seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and supportive team, where you'll play a key role in the development and delivery of robust engineering solutions to real-world industrial challenges.
Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering documentation.
* Perform engineering calculations and generate detailed reports.
* Support senior engineers with technical delivery of enquiries and projects.
* Improve product performance through new design methods and materials.
* Create and maintain accurate bills of materials within the ERP system.
* Provide technical support across departments and to end clients.
* Apply principles of Design for Manufacture and Value Engineering.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Required Skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency with 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).
* Experience with engineering standards including BS 8888 and GD&T.
* Working knowledge of pressure vessel design (ASME VIII, PED, etc.) is advantageous.
* Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally Epicor.
* A detail-oriented, proactive mindset and strong organisational skills.
* Full right to work in the UK.
