Role Overview
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods in, storage, stock control, and distribution. This role plays a critical part in supporting both customer fulfilment and production operations, ensuring materials are available for manufacturing while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.
The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of supervisors and operatives, driving high standards of efficiency, accuracy, safety, and compliance, particularly within a fast-paced FMCG food environment.
Working Hours
40 hours per week.
Monday – Friday (with flexibility based on operational requirements)
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
* Oversee all warehouse activities including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
* Ensure efficient use of warehouse space, equipment, and labour resources.
* Maintain accurate stock control, ensuring inventory integrity and minimising discrepancies.
* Implement and maintain effective warehouse processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Production Support
* Work closely with Production teams to ensure timely supply of materials and packaging to meet manufacturing schedules.
* Manage stock availability to prevent production downtime.
* Coordinate internal stock movements efficiently between warehouse and production areas.
* Support operational planning to align warehouse activities with production demand.
Customer Service & Distribution
* Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in full (OTIF).
* Manage dispatch operations to meet customer delivery schedules and service level agreements.
* Act as a key link between warehouse operations and customer-facing teams.
* Drive continuous improvement in service levels and customer satisfaction.
People Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, manage, and develop a team of warehouse team leaders and operatives.
* Set clear performance expectations and manage team performance against KPIs.
* Promote a positive and engaged working environment, aligned to company values.
* Support training, development, and succession planning within the warehouse team.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including OTIF, stock accuracy, picking accuracy, and labour efficiency.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance.
* Drive cost control initiatives, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
* Support the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and digital tools where applicable.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with LT Foods UK’s health & safety, food safety, and quality assurance standards.
* Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly according to company procedures.
* Support the implementation of safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
* Participate in health and safety briefings and training sessions as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager role within an FMCG environment (essential).
* Experience within the food manufacturing or food service industry (highly desirable).
* Demonstrated ability to support both customer fulfilment operations and production/manufacturing requirements.
* Strong understanding of inventory management, stock control, and warehouse systems (WMS).
* Experience managing high-volume, fast-paced warehouse operations.
* Proven track record of leading and developing large operational teams.
* Strong working knowledge of food safety standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP) and warehouse compliance requirements.
* Experience managing third-party logistics providers and transport coordination (desirable).

Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field (desirable).
* Relevant professional certifications in warehousing, logistics, or health & safety (advantageous).
