Monachyle Mhor Hotel in Balquidder is looking for a culinary leader, responsible for creating and executing menus to a high standard, involving fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. You will be ambitious, passionate and talented who is a real foodie, a people person, has excellent communication, organisational and management skills. This is a hands-on role managing a team of chefs, maintaining kitchen hygiene and ensuring consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
This role will suit someone who is currently a Head Chef in a similar luxury restaurant who has experience of leading a team at Rosette Level in our luxury fine-dining Restaurant and who wants to be hands on in maintaining and the shaping the future of the culinary direction of Monachyle Mhor.
You will take the lead in the kitchen working with the existing team but also work closely with the owners to offer each customer a memorable visit and the need to return to taste your great food.
Ideally the individual will Live locally or within commutable distance of hotel, live in accommodation is available.

Responsibilities and Skills
* Must be a hands-on confident Head Chef with the ability to cook with fresh ingredients and present dishes in a fine dining, luxury Rosette/Michelin kitchen and restaurant. Lead from the front, train and inspire your team to produce consistent, fresh food
* Menu Development and Execution - Creating innovative and seasonal menus that meet the restaurant's standards and appeal to discerning guests
* Extensive Culinary experience
* Full responsibility for kitchen operations, including team leadership, financial management, and health & safety compliance
* Leading and developing a team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes
* Driving standards across all areas of the kitchen while maintaining a positive, professional working environment
About You:
* Minimum 3 years' experience as Head Chef in a fine dining or luxury 4-star setting
* Background in a 2 AA Rosette kitchen (or higher) essential
* Confident, hands-on leader with excellent kitchen management and organisational skills
* Passionate about local, seasonal produce and modern British cuisine with classical roots
* Butchery skills
* The capability to deliver food GP% to budget
* Experience of training, coaching and inspiring junior chefs and staff
* Exemplary standards of personal hygiene and presentation.
* A strong understanding of food health and safety, keep all legislation and licences up to date
* Must have excellent command of English
* You must be able to drive with your own transport for this role to be considered.
