Junior Ward Sister

Main duties of the job
The junior sister or charge nurse covers for the ward sister when absent and sets an example for the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and education. In addition to these duties, the junior sister or charge nurse often coordinates shift handovers, ensures that important clinical information is accurately communicated, and addresses any immediate concerns or emergencies on the ward.
They act as a point of contact for both patients and staff, offering guidance and support as needed. By fostering teamwork, encouraging professional development opportunities, and upholding high standards in patient care, the junior sister or charge nurse plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation and morale of the ward 10 team.

* Evidence of professional self-development
* IT Qualifications / experience
* Teaching or Assessing Course/ Mentorship preparation programme or equivalent e.g. 997 / 998
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Experience (through placements or employment) of working in a busy environment.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
