Job Summary: London Care Support is a CQC-registered provider delivering high-quality domiciliary and community-based care services. We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Lead to take responsibility for safeguarding adults at risk across our homecare services, ensuring full compliance with the Care Act 2014, CQC regulations, and local safeguarding partnership requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the organisation.
* Lead on safeguarding adults at risk in line with the Care Act 2014 and CQC requirements.
* Manage and oversee safeguarding concerns, alerts, referrals, and investigations.
* Liaise with Local Authority Safeguarding Adults Boards, social workers, commissioners, and external professionals.
* Ensure safeguarding policies, procedures, and reporting systems are up to date and implemented effectively.
* Provide safeguarding advice, guidance, and support to managers, care staff, and office teams.
* Deliver safeguarding training and promote a strong safeguarding culture across the organisation.
* Monitor trends, risks, and learning from safeguarding incidents and audits.
* Maintain accurate safeguarding records and prepare reports for inspections and governance meetings.
Requirements: Essential:
* Significant experience in safeguarding adults within homecare, social care, or healthcare services.
* Strong working knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act (MCA), DoLS/LPS, and CQC regulations.
* Experience working with Local Authorities and safeguarding partnerships.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and make confident safeguarding decisions.
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
* Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) – desirable.
* Up-to-date safeguarding adults training (Level 3 or higher).
* MCA and DoLS training – desirable.
